Pre-Marriage Discovery

The sessions take place in the St. Hugo Parish Hall, which is located in the main church building. We will be celebrating Mass together during the day. A special blessing for engaged couples will be offered during the Pre-Marriage Discovery Mass. 

Patricia (Patty) Sinta, born in Illinois and raised in Bloomfield Hills, received her Associate Degree in Business from Central Michigan University. Beginning her career as an Executive Secretary for lawyers in the Real Estate Department at Kmart Headquarters, and then moving on to automotive related companies as an Office Manager/Executive Administrative Assistant. 

During several years at home with her sons (adopted at the ages of 7 and 10), Patty served as Chair of the parents’ adoption support group through Catholic Social Services, obtained grants for special trainings and helped facilitate workshops joining along with the Michigan Community Mental Health Division of Oakland County.

In 2007, Patty joined the staff at St. Hugo of the Hills as the Religious Education Administrative Assistant. In 2015 she began as Marriage Preparation Coordinator and has been taking classes at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Theology and Canon Law. Patty has served on the Archdiocese of Detroit ParishSOFT Standards Committee, and attended many of the ParishSOFT Conferences, where she also was a presenter at one of the workshops on email communication. 



Patty is happily married (28 years) to her husband, Ron, and they both are fortunate to have their sons and family live close by including their three grandkids.
